Front-end Developer

Description
As a Front End Web Developer with Insomniac Design, you will use your exceptional web development skills to code PSDs into responsive HTML/CSS templates. Typical projects include website, web applications, software platforms, mobile apps, product development, UX, branding, strategy consulting, social media campaigns, data visualizations, video and motion graphics... and there is plenty more! It’s simple: We want you to own the project, make it yours and ensure it gets delivered on time and on budget. A plus is getting the client to do a victory dance upon completion!
Responsibilities
  • Develop responsive HTML/CSS templates using PSDs provided by the creative team.
  • Conduct cross-browser and cross-device testing of the templates.
  • Work with back-end developers to implement the templates.
  • Theme and style templates within Content Management Systems such as Drupal 8.
  • Work closely with creative team as necessary, to ensure proper implementation of designs and creative functionality to ensure adequate retention of user experience.
  • Work directly with creative director, designers, project managers, and user experience leads on assigned projects.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of experience with front-end development and implementation within CMS frameworks
  • Candidates for this position must have a genuine interest in the latest technological developments in the industry to include HTML5, CSS3, and mobile web application development
  • Strong knowledge of design principles, typography, user interfaces, Web standards and usability
  • Expert in Bootstrap 3 standards and implementation
  • BS/BA/AD degree
  • 3+ years of front end web development experience
  • 3+ years of professional HTML/CSS experience
  • Able to consistently develop clean, semantic, valid markup
  • Expert Proficiency in HTML5/CSS3, JavaScript/jQuery and other scripting languages
  • Experience developing adaptive/responsive websites
  • Working knowledge of and experience with Content Management Systems like Drupal and Word Press and ability to learn new technologies and software as necessary
  • Experience building and maintaining large sites
  • Ability to execute from concept to site launch with a comprehensive knowledge of development and testing
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks and hit deadlines in a fast-paced work environment
  • Team player with a positive attitude and an entrepreneurial spirit
