Insomniac and National Endowment for the Arts launch 10,000 page website

The National Endowment for the Arts (NEA) has awarded more than $4 billion to support artistic excellence, creativity, and innovation for the benefit of individuals and communities. The NEA extends its work through partnerships with state arts agencies, local leaders, other federal agencies, and the philanthropic sector. The NEA website is the agency’s primary portal for grant application and post-award materials, staff information, news releases, grant award listings, feature content (including a quarterly arts magazine, articles, podcasts, webcasts/podcast/webinar archives, and multimedia), profiles of our lifetime honorees, five publications, research materials, funding/professional development resources, and donation opportunities. In late 2012, Insomniac Design was awarded a contract by The National Endowment for the Arts to redesign and migrate the www.nea.gov / www.arts.gov website onto an open source Drupal platform. The development involved 26 data types, spanning 10,000+ pages. Insomniac worked closely with the NEA project team to concept, re-design, architect, and develop the complex website.
